Built from traditional timber weather board, the 3 and 4-bedroom cottages have solid timber floors, raked timber ceilings and are fully appointed to a very high standard. There are 16 cottages in total. It has a lobby with hotel safe, conference facilities and Internet access. On-site parking for 2 cars is also available for all cottages as well as a boat park on site. Younger guests may like to take advantage of the playground.

Room description
Available as both 1 and 2-bedroom cottages, as well as 3 and 4-bedroom, the resort has accommodation to suit all, from couples and honeymooners to families. Up to 8 persons can sleep in one cottage. All 1, 2, 3 and 4-bedroom cottages feature separate lounge/dining area, as well as a fully-equipped kitchen (fridge, oven, microwave, tea/coffee making facilities) and laundry (washing machine, ironing set). En suite bathroom, hairdryer, safe-deposit box, direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, radio, hi-fi system and Internet access all feature. Gas log open fire places also come as standard (individually adjustable). All rooms come with king-size beds. Balconies and terraces also feature. Sport

How to get to the hotel
If driving from Auckland travel north on State Highway 1 to Kawakawa and continue onto Highway 11 to Opua (approx. 8 km). Guests must arrive at the Opua car ferry before 10.00 pm as this is the last ferry to the Russell Peninsula. The ferry shuttles every 10 min from 7.00 am and costs AUD 10.00 for car and driver and AUD 1.00 per passenger one way. The trip takes 5 minutes and must be paid for in cash on board. Once on the other side drive another 9 km to Russell. When in Russell, drive along York Street and take the first right hand turn into Chapel Street. The hotel is on the left hand side towards the end of the street.

Remarks
Reception hours are from 8 am to 7 pm. If intending to arrive after 7 pm guests are requested to advise reception in advance.
